Standard standard 70mm and IMAX 70mm film use similar-width stock, but the frame direction and size are radically different.
Look for “IMAX 70mm” or “15/70” on the showtime. “70mm” alone normally means conventional vertical film, not IMAX.

This record is included so a diagram can distinguish what the camera exposes from what the projector shows, but the exact dimensions need confirmation from a directly accessible SMPTE print-aperture standard or IMAX engineering document.
Anamorphic lenses squeeze a wide scene onto a vertical large-format frame, then expand it for projection. Ultra Panavision can be extremely wide, but it does not use horizontal IMAX transport or the tall frame.
Digital Media Remastering prepares a separate picture and sound master for IMAX theatres. It can improve presentation, but it cannot recover anything outside the photographed frame.
DMR may preserve a taller source or remain wide throughout. The film lookup therefore separates capture type from expanded ratio.
